About Us

Cruz Guru is a fun website for all of us who are blessed to live here in Santa Cruz County, as well as, for those who are visiting us from far, and not so far, away places. Our goal is to provide you with a fun and easy way to plan a "Playcation", find a plumber to fix that leaky toilet, or post your point of view for the world to see.

Cruz Guru was originally started as SantaCruzFood.com 2007, which was merely a hobby site until March of 2008 when it was formally launched. In June of 2008, SCF merged with " Another Local Website" and in May of 2009 we un-merged to become the Cruz Guru you know and love (we hope) today.

Aaaahhh Yes, let's not forget YouTube (it's a toss up between twitter, and youtube for my fav) where we will be posting some fun and goofy videos we produce here in Santa Cruz.. I have started it off with some videos I (and my staff) recorded back in 1999 - 2000 when I owned a large pager/cellular store in Bakersfield, Ca. The videos were shot on a Sony Digital Camera that stored the pictures (and movies) on floppy disks. The original videos were 160x112 ( for you nerds out there) and we were streaming them off a couple of websites (yes even back then).  I am the skinny one with the goatee.
Errrs and Immissions
For those of you who know me (The Guru) you are already aware of the fact I am dyslexic, and challenged when it comes to spelling. With that said, you may from time to time catch an error I (or staff) has made. I will work to correct any errors you find, but I do ask that you not make fun of the dyslexically challenged. <smile>

From time to time we may offer you an incentive to find errors that we have overlooked (and believe me we look for them).
